Welcome to Discovery!
We want our virtual school to pay homage to our well-known history of the Lewis & Clark westward expansion. Students will discover their full potential by taking ownership in their learning. Daily students learn life skills like how to set goals, approach challenges with optimism, and believe in themselves and their abilities. Our school will provide a rich online community as well as the opportunity to participate in real world experiences.
The Discovery Virtual School curriculum offers robust and engaging content delivered online and through offline, hands-on activities that have been carefully designed to meet the needs of all learners. Our teachers are highly qualified, and Washington certified in the subjects they teach. Most have been teaching online for years, and they understand the proactive role required for success in online education.
For many of the families joining us on this journey, much like Lewis & Clark, this is uncharted territory. We welcome your thoughts and ideas as we expand and grow this community together.
