Technology Requirements
Below is a list of browser, plug-ins, system and software requirements. Be sure that you have updated your computer with the appropriate software before you begin your program.
We ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed in an online learning environment. From Chromebooks to internet support, our technology resources are designed to keep students connected, engaged, and ready to learn—no matter where they are.

Chromebooks are available to rent for a one time/year fee. Please reach out to us to check fees and regulations.
*** A small set of Accelerate Education courses require students record their voice and submit audio files to their teacher.
** Using an iPad for Discovery Virtual School requires the following setting changes
1) Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security → Block All Cookies Must Be Off
2) Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security → Prevent Cross-Site Tracking Must Be Off
3) Ensure JavaScript is enabled
4) Accept third-party cookies
5) Disable Pop-Up Blockers: Mozilla Firefox & Google Chrome
Required Skill Levels & Understanding
For families choosing to participate in our online program,
students and/or parents/coaches must have the following skills and understanding:
1) Ability to open and use a web browser
2) Ability to log in (either by memory or note with username and password)
3) Ability to use a mouse cursor or accessibility device modification replacing a mouse cursor
4) Ability to read and understand directions and navigate through pages, hyperlinks
5) Ability to use a computer keyboard or accessibility device modification replacing a keyboard.
6) Ability to turn off pop-up blockers
7) Ability/access to speakers and microphone/recording device
8) Access to an electronic device that fits the requirements listed above for school use
9) Ability to access Zoom or other similar virtual meetings if in-person meetings are not an option
